In the past few years, Wang Hu has already begun to rent airplanes to spray pesticides. In fertilization, Wang Hu has been applying several brands of rice compound fertilizers to paddy fields. The main composition of rice compound fertilizer contains phosphate fertilizer. Wang Hu does not know whether it is polluted by soil. His biggest concern for fertilizer is fertility. In this regard, Wang Hu’s approach is to often invite agricultural experts to come and give guidance. Under the guidance of experts, he purchases regular fertilizers. “There is no problem with chemical fertilizers in recent years.”

Now, what Wang Hu hopes most is that the early rice in this season can be harvested safely. About 500 kilograms of rice can be harvested per acre of rice field. Using the harvester, Wang Hu will be able to put up 20 mu of rice one day and air it on the spot. That day, rice can be sold to nearby rice processors. "The inspection work is done by a processing plant. How do we detect it?" Wang Hu said that farmers could not test the rice they produced. Therefore, although he is concerned about the problems of rice, he has no way of knowing whether his own rice is affected. However, Wang Hu thinks his own rice is safe. “I don't have a factory around my field and the environment should not be polluted.” Wang Hu is very confident about the local environment. He also believes that his own rice varieties are better. The rice that was detected this time was not the same.

Processing them more worried about the volatility of market conditions

Rice enters the machine and is finally processed into rice. At least 10 steps are required during the process. "Time does not take too long. It only takes five or six minutes," said 39-year-old rice processor Liu Weidong (a pseudonym). Liu Weidong's rice processing factory is in the village of Qiaokou, not far from the responsible field of Wang Hu. He also bought Wang Hu's rice. Liu Weidong's processing plant is only a small factory in the area. His factory can process about 20 tons of rice per day.

In Jiangxi Province, rice is usually planted for two seasons a year. When rice is harvested every season, it is also the time when rice processors are busy. However, there are also some farmers who will store rice in their own barn and wait until the price is right for sale. "No food has been received in the past month." "Frankly speaking, I don't know what to do if I find out how much cadmium is exceeded." Although Liu Weidong has repeatedly submitted inspections of products, he said that only occasionally the water content of rice was not up to the standard, but he never encountered excessive heavy metals in rice. . Another local grain trader disclosed in private that the neighboring county once detected the rice cadmium exceeded, but it is not clear how to handle it eventually. Liu Weidong’s uncle Liu Jianguo (a pseudonym) is also a local food company and has been in business for nearly 40 years. Liu Jianguo stated that there are no problems with the local acquisition of rice processing plants in the country. However, there are some processing plants that purchase rice from low prices in other places and the quality is difficult to guarantee.

However, in the August early rice acquisition season, Liu Weidong will also begin to buy rice again. "A few cents per kilogram of profit is already a good thing for the market." Liu Weidong said that rice processing profit is very thin, the market is too vulnerable to various factors.

Recently, the Guangdong Food Safety Office has announced a list of brands of cadmium-absorbed rice that have been detected in various regions of Guangdong. Among them, there are also several grain companies in Jiangxi Province. Although there were no grain companies in the Nanchang County area, the local quality supervision department also launched a major inspection of food safety enterprises on May 24. The whole process of transportation is sent to the highway

At present, the delivery of trucks from some logistics companies in Nanchang has become the most economical way for rice farmers in Nanchang County. Unlike vegetables, live poultry, meat, and other foods, there is not much demand for the transportation of rice.
