Guanzhong species are numerous, and most of them have not been identified during pharmacological tests.
1 insect repellent effect
The rough stem scales fern, that is, the northeast Guanzhong, the root called cotton horses, containing 49.17% of coarse cotton horses, can be used as a substitute for the European cotton horse, repelling locusts. European Mianma can paralyze insects and has a long history of application. Domestic reports that Guanzhong (variety not identified) are effective against swine fever in vitro. Rough stem fern can also drive out liver calf. Its compound decoction has therapeutic effects on bovine flukes and broad-suction flukes.
2 antiviral effect
Shanghai reported that Guanzhong had a strong inhibitory effect on the influenza virus (influenza A PR strain and Asia A virus) in the chicken embryo test and was also effective in the mouse (drip nasal) test. But the effect is weaker. This antiviral effect is related to the tannins it contains (14.5%). Shaanxi also reported that Guanzhong has inhibitory effects on influenza A (PR6), Asia A (57-4), Lee (B), C (1233), and D (Sendai). In the tissue culture of primary monolayer cells of human embryonic kidney, it was also proved that Guanzhong had No. 479 adenovirus type 3, No. 72 polio type 2, No. 44, Aike 9 type, Coxsack A9 type, Coxsack Seven representative strains of B6, Japanese encephalitis (Jingweiyan 1) and herpes simplex (140) have strong antiviral effects. European Mianma decoction also has the effect of anti-herpes simplex virus.
3 Antibacterial effect
Reports from Jiangxi, Hunan, and Guangdong indicate that local Guanzhong has certain antibacterial effects, but it is not effective, and rural drinking water is used for disinfecting or preventing epidemic cerebrospinal meningitis. Allegedly, it has some inhibitory effects on dermatophytes.
4 The role of the uterus
The decoction and the refined active ingredients have a significant stimulant effect on the ex vivo and in situ uterus of rabbits, with increased contraction and increased tension. The rough shoots of D. sylvaticus have significant stimulant effect on isolated uteri of guinea pigs (0.1-0.7 ml. per millilitre crude drug 50 mg) and rabbits (O.8-1.3 ml), with increased exercise frequency and tension. The amplitude decreases, and the large dose shows tetanic contraction; but after the change, it can still return to normal. The effect of Gossip fern Guanzhong on the uterus is not obvious. According to reports, the "bleeding the net" consisting of Guanzhong and Quanshen has external hemostasis, analgesia, and anti-inflammatory effects.
