Three rounds of financing
According to mobihealth, DocPlanner received a third round of financing a few days ago and raised $20 million. This round of financing was led by Target Global, ENERN Investment and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
DocPlanner received $1 million in angel round financing in December 2012, $3 million in Series A financing in September 2013, and $10 million in Series B financing in May 2015, plus 20 million in this raise. The US dollar raised a total of 34 million US dollars. Previous rounds of investors include Point Nine Capital, Piton Capital and RTAventures, as well as renowned angel investors Lukasz Gadowski and Fabrice Grinda.
Merger to expand the market
DocPlanner also announced that it has reached a merger agreement with rival Doctoralia, which is to become a leader in online medical appointments. Prior to the merger, DocPlanner had 8 million monthly users from 25 countries, 90% of which were from Europe, and others were mainly from Asia or South America. On the platform, users make an average of 200,000 appointments per month.

Headquartered in Spain, Doctoralia was founded in 2007. Its business is similar to DocPlanner, and it is also an online medical appointment platform with 9 million monthly users. Users are located in 20 countries, mainly Spain, Brazil and Mexico.
After the merger, DocPlanner expects to have about 17 million monthly active users, which is double the potential paying users. DocPlanner will have the world's largest database of physicians, more than 5 million registered doctors.
