1. Management of Seedbed before Grafting: Before emergence, the daytime nursery temperature of melon and rootstock pumpkin is maintained at 28°C-32°C and 17°C-20°C at night. After the seedlings emerged, the mulching film was removed, and a small amount of ventilation was started to reduce the seedbed temperature. The melon daytime temperature was 20°C to 25°C, and nighttime was 15°C to 18°C; the pumpkin was 20°C to 25°C during the daytime. 10 °C to 15 °C at night. 2. Grafting
Grafting preparation: Grafting seedlings site temperature 20 °C ~ 25 °C, shade, weak air flow. Before grafting, the grafted clips were washed and soaked in 200-fold 40% formalin solution for 8 hours after disinfection. The blades and operator's hands are disinfected with 75% alcohol when grafted.
Grafting method: When the first true leaves of the pumpkin and melon seedlings are exposed, they are grafted by the splicing method. From the point where the pumpkin grows, it is 45 with the blade from top to bottom and hypocotyl. Diagonal cut a knife, the growth point and a cotyledon removed, the slope length 0.8cm ~ 0.9cm. The melon seedlings were uprooted, and 1.2 cm below the cotyledon, and the other side below the cis- cotyledons was 45 with the hypocotyl. The corner cut diagonally from top to bottom to remove the root and the slope was 0.8cm to 0.9cm long. The two bevels of the pumpkin and the melon seedlings are affixed together and are clamped and fixed with a grafting clip.
3. Management of seedbeds after grafting: The grafted seedlings are placed in nursery beds. The first three days after grafting, airtight management is performed to seal the relative humidity of the ambient air above 95%. The daytime temperature is 25°C to 28°C, and the nighttime temperature is 18°C ​​to 20°C. After 3 days to 4 days, the air is properly ventilated and the light is seen. The noon spray is performed once. ～2 times, maintain high humidity, shading at noon only after 6 days to 7 days; resume normal management after 10 days, promptly remove sprouts of rootstock.
