Industrialized beef cattle breeds and feed selection

Variety

Generally used Simmental, Limousin hybrid improvement, or two varieties of crossbreeding improved; long-term can be carried out Simultaneous Simmental milk-meat hybrid improvement. In actual production, in order to avoid dystocia, preference should be given to Limousin cattle for first-born and small-bodied cows; for large-heavy multiple cows, Simmental cattle should be selected for breeding.

Simmental is one of the most widely used and widest varieties of local cattle in China. The hybrid offspring of Simmental cattle grow fast, and the male fleas are good for fattening cattle; another advantage is that they provide a good maternal line for the next round, and the milk yield of the offspring cows increases exponentially.

Limousin is one of the most commonly used hybrid patriline in the world. Its main characteristics are that it is more tolerant to roughage, has a faster growth, requires less nutrients for unit weight gain, has a higher proportion of carcass quality meat, and has a marbled pattern earlier; It is rarely difficult to produce, easy to be fetus, and plays a good supporting role in the beef cattle hybrid system.

Ashkenazi Simmental is a dairy and beef cattle breed. The initial milk production of the cows is not less than 7 tons, the milk fat rate is 3.9%, the milk protein rate is 3.7%, and the German cows have many generations of German Ximen towers. The crossbreeding of Cattle cattle can breed large-scale beef cattle that can be used both as milk and meat.

feed

Industrial breeding of breeding cows should be based on roughage, supplemented by concentrated feed, with coarse and fine, comprehensive nutrition. Roughage includes hay and silage.

Hay: High quality hay is the material basis for ensuring the physiological function of the cow's physiology, and it is of special importance for maintaining the pH of the rumen, microbial activity, and reproductive function. In industrialized cattle farms, the supply of hay is often the first limiting factor, so no matter how important it is to emphasize its importance. Only by guaranteeing the feeding of high quality hay and satisfying the unique physiological characteristics of cattle can we ensure the growth and development of cattle and maximize their growth potential. In the breeding stage of yak and bred cattle, the green hay is of great significance for stimulating rumen development and skeleton formation. In the absence of green hay, calves are often stunted, and their bodies are short and their abdomen is enlarged; bred and fattened bulls can't afford to have skeletons, and their weight gain is hindered and their growth potential can't be achieved; breeding cows are in poor estrus and reproductive performance is declining.

Silage: Silage corn, silage sorghum; whole plant silage, but also yellow. Silage has a wide source, low cost, easy production, and suitable for large-scale storage. It is the main component of beef cattle roughage. The dry matter of the whole plant silage corn should reach more than 30%, silage does not flow. During silage feeding, secondary mildew should be prevented. The taking surface of the silo should be straight and tight, the ground should be cleaned daily, and the silage stacked in the barn should be alternately dried to prevent repeated stacking. The silage residue in the cattle tank should be cleared in time, and the silage should be stored in the barn overnight as much as possible. Conditional cattle farms should promote the use of TMR feeding technology.

Concentrate: General use of 5% of beef cattle premix, prepared according to feed formula processing. In the production of beef cattle in the factory, due to the use of a large amount of silage and fine feed, a proper amount of baking soda should be added to the feed formulation to adjust the pH of the cow rumen. In the breeding cow feed formula, vitamin A, E should be added. The amount of feed for breeding cows should be determined based on the quality of the roughage, the condition of the cattle, season, and other factors, generally 1 kg to 2 kg/day. Special attention should be paid to the fact that for estrus, energy is more important than protein and it is necessary to maintain a certain level of lyricism.
