Foreo, a Swedish skin care company known for inventing silicone wash brushes, recently invented the automatic makeup device MODA.
On March 28th, Foreo showed the public the automatic makeup equipment it developed, MODA, and called it "the world's first digital makeup artist."
MODA is actually a special 3D printer. It looks like an old 586 computer. It just replaces the screen with a circular groove and has 2000 tiny nozzles built in to precisely spray the face. And can be adjusted synchronously with 40 micron accuracy. The cosmetics that play the role of printing "inkjet" have passed FDA certification, ensuring natural ingredients, long-lasting effects, and low sensitization.
The company's official website describes the use of MODA. The user first selects one of dozens of different styles of makeup through the MODA App, and the App combines the makeup with the captured user's photo and previews the makeup effect. After selecting the desired makeup effect, the user only needs to put the face in the circular groove of the machine, MODA will scan the face 3D, the built-in face mapping software and biometric lens will analyze the user's skin color, facial features Even the spotted spots that need to be modified. After 30 seconds, the cosmetics will be "printed" to the face.
As a marketing method, the company claims that the MODA App will allow users to choose among a celebrity makeup library and copy the desired star makeup to their faces. If you can't find a makeup that matches your face, the app also offers a “Uniquely You†mode that provides makeup suggestions based on the user's facial features.
In less than a minute, the machine will complete three makeup steps: base, apply foundation, and “sweep†the color for cheeks, lips and eyes. And this is also the main order of women in the usual makeup.
At present, Foreo's official website does not publish information about the price and date of listing of this device.
This is the second time that Foreo has become the focus of the ladies. Last time, it attracted attention because of a silicone wash brush called FOREO LUNA. Previously, at the 2014 CES show, the company, which is good at using medical silicone on its own products, also launched an electric toothbrush called ISSA, which has entered the crowdfunding stage.
